Proven Experience

Established in 2012, Klingman Law is dedicated to providing sophisticated legal representation to small and midsize businesses, helping them achieve cost-effective valuable outcomes when faced with defending against or bringing a legal claim.

Utilizing over 30 years of experience with complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, as well as arbitration and mediation, Klingman Law leverages its background and capabilities to offer value-added legal representation to its clients.

Our Philosophy: All Disputes Need Resolution, But Not All Require Lawsuits

At Klingman Law, we appreciate that, like most small-business owners, you’d rather not spend time and money going to court to resolve your disputes. However, like most owners, you also cannot afford to leave money on the table or not respond to a lawsuit naming you or your company.

We won’t pressure you to go to court, and will work with you to determine if litigation is the best way to assert your rights. If you are uneasy due to the high cost of litigation or prior experiences with legal budgets, we can help. Through our use of alternative fee arrangements and competitive rates, Klingman Law can assist in controlling your legal spend without sacrificing experienced counsel and the favorable results they often bring.

Everyone Deserves Counsel They Can Trust

At Klingman Law, there are no layers to navigate — the attorney you hire answers his own phone and is available to discuss your situation or case. Why? Litigation is expensive enough, so we operate lean and pass on the benefits of our low overhead to our clients. We believe small-business owners should not be intimidated by big law firms or their prices and should never walk away if they have been wronged.
Through the use of alternative fee arrangements and similar value-added pricing, as well as back-office technologies, Klingman Law provides its clients with the same level of sophisticated representation as much larger firms do, but on a more cost-efficient basis.

In addition to these courts and jurisdictions, Patrick has worked with local and co-counsel on cases located throughout the country and internationally.
Patrick is an accomplished attorney with over 30 years of experience in a wide array of commercial litigation matters, from antitrust and contractual disputes to wrongful termination, representing both businesses and individuals.
In 2012, Patrick established Klingman Law, LLC with the primary goal of providing complex litigation and dispute resolution services to small and midsize companies.
Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, Patrick earned a B.A. from Villanova University, and received his J.D. cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law. While at Syracuse, he also earned an M.A. in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
Patrick began his career in the Washington, D.C. offices of Laxalt, Washington, Perito & Dubuc and Graham & James LLP (a large, international law firm) where he gained significant experience working on a variety of complex litigation cases. These ranged from aviation-related mass disasters and insurance matters to theft of intellectual property.
In 1997, Patrick and his family returned to the Northeast and he joined Cohn, Birnbaum & Shea, P.C. in Hartford, Connecticut. There, Patrick continued his commercial litigation practice, which included the defense of a Hartford-based hospital in a contractual dispute with a vendor and the representation of a prominent local dairy against a claim of copyright infringement.
Several years later, he began representing individual and institutional investors in securities fraud litigation at a two-person class action firm in Hartford. After a few years, he joined the Connecticut office of another litigation boutique, and continued representing individual, corporate, and institutional clients in antitrust as well as complex commercial and securities litigation in courts throughout the country.
